I am going to NYC in late Jan. Where is an afordable place to stay near the Theatre District?

I am taking my wife as a surprise. I want it to be clean and nice but as far under $200 a night as possible. Thanks for the help!!!

Try Washington Jefferson Hotel, it is walking distance to the theatre district. I stayed there this past July

the most affordable, clean and nice place to stay is New Jersey. if you look near the PATH (Port Authority) train routes (like in Hoboken) you will have a safe, cheap way to get in and out of the city.
