No, I say that. And, when Jesus said it, he said, "oh my self!"

It's just an expression, a blasphemous one from a theological perspective.

I believe the punishment for taking the lords name in vain was supposed to be death by stoning. Although lower case 'g' god isn't a name, upper case 'G' is, by the usual rules of English capitalization.

I say "Oh my god!" "Jesus!" and "Christ on a bike!" What I think is funny is that people think atheists are hypocritical for saying that, but religious people who say it are criticized.

lots do. it's an expression that has taken on usage beyond its meanings.

people who say "bless you" to a sneeze generally aren't doing so because of the old belief that someone sneezing was fighting with a demon, and thus an extra blessing theoretically aided the battle.

It's part of the cultural vernacular. Lots of atheists and agnostics say it. It's not really a big deal, just a meaningless comment.

No... Tons of people say that no matter what they believe.

But to spice things up sometimes I say something different like,"Oh... My... Buddha..."

No, I was raised in the Catholic church so it's a part of my vocabulary, which is not something I'm not terribly invested in changing.

I never really said it, but I guess that's just leftover baggage from a Christian upbringing.
