It's hard for me to believe that a woman was made from a rib, that's disgusting...Why do "Christians" ?

Why do they believe this when the ORIGINAL bible is gone and no one ever really know what the original bible really says? Muslims for instance have only ONE book and it says the same everywhere, always. The "christians'" bible has so many parts, ..Y'kno'..........Like it's been tampered with..............Y'kno' what I mean??..eeeeekkkkkk

Isn't it obvious, they believe everything the Bible says, like homosexuality is a sin, or that God created the universe in 6 days, or that Noah managed to put every species of land animals on a boat to save them from a flood, or that the earth is 6000 years old. I rest my case.

So do you believe anything such as history books that you read in school? What about the newspaper when its printed each day? Those surely aren't original items but instead stories relayed and retold.

I'm not certain what you mean by "the original Bible". If you're referring to the actual pages written years ago - you can definitely find those - it just takes a lot of time and research. I have a friend who did this. Today's translations all feed from The Bible - they might read differnetly but the overall meaning is still the same.

you are very wrong, and i will debate you on the issue any day. You are a Muslim or you have been listening to Muslims I can tell. research the facts for yourself on both sides with an open mind and you will come to a different conclusion. By the way the Muslim believes the same thing as a christian when it comes to that rib thing, and whats so hard to believe about it if you believe in god?

Very good question.

Well, obviously, Man came from woman. That is how we are all born. We have the obvious proof of that everywhere.

And the Man half of mankind that existed at that time did not like that! Giving birth was something that a man could not do. This thing that men could not do gave women power.

So turning everything around, and saying it was the other way around was all they could do.

Afterall, at that time, for everything else they were used to having the power. Things were tremendously heavy and surviving was very hard.

And they didn't want their position threatened by this one thing!

But it is a very big thing.

In many cultures (Jewish Kabbalists), Hawaiians, and others believe tthe first humans were androgynous (beings with both sexes) then the two sexes diverged into modern human beings.

And the allegory of the rib was something the people could understand.

Actually, the Bible has managed to stay completely in tact through the ages. All you have to do is look at some of the prophecies in the Bible that are coming true today and you will see for yourseif.

It may be hard to believe but it's your choice to believe in it or not. The concept of this was God chose a bone from the man and created woman. God chose the rib because it protects the heart of man and woman and creates LOVE between them. They are the protectors of each other.

There are different theory's of creation but Faith in Catholicism gives hope to Christians and givs GOOD messages towards us.

I honestly believe there is no way to tell if ANY bible has been tampered with!! You have to take what feels right in your heart, doesnt matter your religion, you cant believe everything a man tells you in a book
