There is one youth hostel that I found on the internet, but I am not young enough to stay in a youth hostel. I am just looking for a plain cheap clean room with a bed and toilet (breakfast need not be included, too much money). I need a room for two nights next month well after the holidays are over. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Try couchsurfing.com for local people who may be able to put you up for those days. Altenatively, hostelworld.com doesn't give an age limit as far as I am aware and you can view the accomodation, reserve and pay online. Otherwise, look at the budget accomodation section of the UK's Lonely Planet Guide or similar. I found fantastic accomodation at ridiculously cheap prices using this while I was travelling. Travellodge have some deals going, for one night you can get a lovely room and tele/ shower sette, clean etc, book on the internet it will cost you £15, you can move on to the next one for another night, we travelled up through Uk doing this, go to tavelodge.com

Hi, The YMCA cant house you for a couple of nights they are only there for mid to long term lets, however there are plenty of B&B's in the city, check out
