That's just the kind of person he is . He sound like need needed a real favor and didn't want to come off like he was using you. That don't mean he just want to be friends , but a great relationship stars off as being friend and being there for one another and communicating. Don't do favor just to get with a guy do it from your heart .What comes around goes around sow good seeds those good seeds will grow and blossum. Take your time let the man find you I know its hard and lonely sometimes , but patience is a virtue. Start loving and working on you and the right man will come and love you to. Be blessed

What kind of favor? - Maybe he's in a much better financial situation than you and knows that which is why he insists on paying you back? I don't know, your question is pretty vague, although a good question :)

Well if a guy insists on paying you back for a favor it does not usuallly mean he just wants to be friends it usually means he's a nice guy and wants to be p[olite, and in most cases means he has felings for you!

No, but it's polite to return a favor with a favor. He may like you and this is his way of letting you know.

It's just a guy thing. Women aren't supposed to pay for anything. Doesn't everybody know that?

Lack of details make it hard. As long as you keep it straight its "JUST FRIENDS" and your not doing anything outrageous with favors (extravagant gifts, money etc) you should be fine.

Maybe he just doesn't like to feel that he owes you anything. Either that, or he likes repaying the favor.
