Yesterday I was img with my best friend when I noticed my boyfriend had signed onto msn. I imd him but he didn't respond. His status said online (not away/idle just online) and I even got a pop-up that said he had just signed on. He claims he was not online but studying for finals. He swears up n down he didn't log on. Is there any other explanation as to why the msn pop-up said he just signed on and his status said he was online? Or is my boyfriend telling me tales?

He claims he wasn't anywhere near his pc, that his pc wasn't even on. This isn't the first time this has happened either

Sometimes, once a computer turns on, msn/aim/other chat programs automatically sign on unless the user prompts it to not do so.There is a big chance that MSN could have been running in the background without him realizing.
Don't jump to conclusions just yet. He is probably stressed about finals, and I'm sure he doesn't need his girlfriend poking accusations at him.

Gee... ever consider that maybe someone else was using his computer? And seriously... do you think he'd let you see his status of being online and be dumb enough not to respond?
Give the guy a break, stop being so obsessive that maybe he's lying to you. Hmmm.. or could it be you've lied to him and your guilty conscience is making you question his actions?

I've had my MSN sign on by itself sometimes, especially when I turn on the computer. Maybe somebody else was using it and it signed on without him knowing.
Honestly, you can't say your boyfriend was lying, because you don't have proof that he was except for you saw his name go on. You gotta have trust in him. =p

Don't worry about it. It seems a minor thing to question his integrity about. I've been signed on, and not on the computer before. He could be telling the truth.

Yes, your boyfriend is telling you tales. If you computer is telling you he sign on he did. If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, then it's a duck. Keep quacking

technology can be really messed up now-a-days, maybe someone was using his acoount or stuff like that. But me, i have never seen any of my friends sign on and it wasnt them, so give him the benifit of a doubt that he wasnt lying.
