You don't wanna use up your skin's elasticity by constantly opening and closing your pores. It's a mistake to strip your face off all natural oil with super hot water and finish the routine with cold water, to shrink the pores; you skin would only age faster. In all things that you do, don't go extreme. If you don't use hot water to water your plant, you don't wanna use hot water to wash your face. Use lukewarm water, and treat your face gently.

As for the cleaning agent, you would need to find out your skin type and look for products that best care for your skin. I personally avoid soap-containing products, as soap tends to irritate my skin and can be drying, which, in turn, causes more oil production. The best I can advise you is, again, go for something gentle.

If you can spend a little, these http://www.laroche-posay.com/ are the best. Good luck!

Luke warm. Using cold water is too chilling in this temperture. Using hot water feels great, but dries the face out. It also gets rid of natural oils needed for that 'healthy look and feel'. Try using lukewarm water and every once in a while use an exfoilating scrub. A more sensitive scrub for face to get rid of dead skin and clear pores. Have fun. If you want to know what water to use, use Dasani. It has natural minerals and vitamins in it. (lol jk!)

Are you just washing your face with water? No good. Depending on what kind of skin you have (oily with acne breakouts, sensitive, dry, combination, etc) you should get a cleanser made for your skin. Make sure your hands are CLEAN first...wet your face with warm water (not hot, not cold) pour the cleanser into your hands and work up a lather. Then spread it on your face in a circular motion. Then rinse by cupping water onto your hands. Make sure you rinse well. If you don't get all the cleanser off--it will make your skin irritated. PAT dry. Never rub your face.

Neither- cold will close your pores, and hot could cause some shock to your skin as well. You should use warm water. As far as something to mix with the water, have you heard of soap?

Comfortably hot. It will open the pores and help disolve/remove dirt and grime. Think about trying to wash dishes in cold water. However, rinse with cold water to close the pores and help remove the soap. With regards to having combindation skin why not just use two different creams for the relevent areas?

Both. I have always heard to use warm water while you wash your face with your cleanser, then use cold water to close your pores.

Depending on what kind of skin you have you should use a face cleanser. Go to Wal-Mart and browse the soap aisle...there is something for everyone!

Hope this helps!

warm water is good for cleaning because it opens the pores, but afterwards you should rinse with cold water o close them again. this way they are cleaned out and won't get clogged so easily. also, patting dry with a towel is gentler on the skin, and you clean your face every other day so that the oils in your skin aren't being overproduced to make up for it.

Cold water closes pores, and hot water opens pores. It is best to wash in warm-hot water with a mild cleanser, specificly for your skin type, and rinse it in cooler water, that way your opening your pores for the cleansing, and closing them back up after to prevent dirt and stuff from getting in to them.

Warm water. It will open your pores and let you clean all the dirt out. Best to use a mild soap or a foaming face wash.
