Do 4 these things and don't cheat!

1. Don't drink any Soda and replace drinks with water or milk (processed sugar is stored as fat if you don't use it - and milk is filling and full of vitamin D and protein)
2. Replace one meal (lunch) with fresh fruit - mangos, pineapple, and apples are my favs. (Lunch will be cheaper, tasty, but will just require planning on packign your lunch and cutting up the fruit in the morning). Plus the fruit has natural sugars that don't break down as quickly as processed sugar so you get a sustained energy throughout the day into the evening. Plus you get much needed nutrients and fiber from fruit.

3. Don't eat in front of the TV!!!!!!!! Have your dinner at the table. (you will eat 2 times as much infront of the tv). How easy is this??? Because really if you sit down at the table and eat some chips you might eat bowlfull - but if you sit infront of the tv - before you know it the bag is gone!

4. Run on the treadmill each day until it says you have burned 250 calories or more (doesn't matter how fast you run or how far you go - just put in your weight and it will tell you when you burned 250 calories based on the speed/incline/distance) - or crosstrainer, etc.

The way to lose weight has never changed, even though people state to have discovered new ways, they all follow the same principles. You need to simply use up more energy in a day than what is provided by what you eat in a day. You can do this three ways:

1. Eat less, or eatl less fatty foods and more fruits and vegetables.

2. Exercise more, walk, run, jumping jacks, go to the gym.

3. The best: do a combination of these 2. Eat less fatty foods, eat many more fruits and vegetables and exercise daily.

Doing this will make you happy.

Remember, nothing that has value is attained easily. Make a decision and change your life.

Good luck

Drink lots of water. At least a gallon a day. Take a multi vitamin. Avoid caffeine. Eat 4 to 5 small meals per day instead of 2 to 3 large ones. Try ediets.com. Its an expensive website that has great ideas for good food that is lower in calories. Go for walks as often as possible. Park as far away as you can from stores and work. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Do all these things and you will lose weight fast.

The best thing you can do is exercise and watch what you eat. Just boosting your cardio to an extra hour a week, or twenty minutes a day, will make a huge difference. You don't have to deprive yourself from eating the things you love, just try to cut out one hundred calories a day. Have less juice, or measure your breakfast cereal so you aren't over eating. Also, if you don't lift weights now would be a great time to start. You may actually gain some muscle weight to begin with, but the lean muscle you build will boost your metabolism and you'll burn even more calories every day.

walk 45 minutes a day.

Eat 5 smaller meals evenly spaced throughout the day. In teh evening only eat protein and vegetables.

Make breakfast ur biggest meal with fruit, bran and toast.

pasta never at night only during the day.

that would be a REAL good start...really u just have to cut down on polyfats and sugars and increase your protein.

Once you do that a while you will plateau, go to a dietician at that point.

Unless you are over 6 foot tall, you are overweight and possibly obese. Since you didn't tell us your height, check the Healthy Weight Chart and find your minimum and maximum weight for your height and age group.

Then start a healthy eating program -- lean protein, whole grains, fruits & vegatables. Drink at least 96 ounces of water per day. And get 90 minutes of aerobics and strength training exercise every day!

for every 3500 calories you burn you will lose 1 lb. of fat. That being said you need to figure out how many calories you use up a day in regular activities. Go to http://www.stevenscreek.com/goodies/calories.shtml
This will calculate it for you. Once you know how many calories you are burning day to day, do the math to find out how much you can eat to leave 1000 calories burned each day. You will loose about 3 lbs a week like this. For example if you burn 3000 calories doing your day to day routine then you will need to eat 2000 calories to have a 1000 calorie "balance"( that is about 1/3 lb. lost each day). If you exercise you will have a bigger "balance" of calories. Hope that make since.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

My wife and I each lost 60 pounds on weight watchers using their sensible program. It isn't the fastest method for losing weight on the planet but it is effective and teaches lifestyle changes that can help you keep it off once you lose it.
