I spent $100 on a 2 hour seminar and just got hand outs and no help

You need a behaviorist, not a trainer. There is a difference. A trainer teaches obedience. A behaviorist helps correct behavioral problems. Aggression is a behavioral problem.

Go to a good obedience club where the people title their own dogs and will have experience with problem dogs.
DO NOT take any classes from 'furbaby' trainers like they have at Pet(not so)smart! They have no business trying to teach anyone anything about training.

Call an animal shelter or vet. Animal shelters especially have to do a lot of temperment testing and behavioral training on the dogs they get in, they would almost certainly have the name of a good trainer who can help you.

go to your vet and let him find someone for you, but here are some tips that helps .keep your dog on a chain put it around his neck and not on a coller that way if you are walking hin and he trys to attack someone or another dog you can pull him back ,when you pull him back put him to sit or lie down keep him there for a while so that he knows that your incharge. keep doing this everytime and he will calm down remember to tell him no in a very strong voice.see if this helps

there are many people who train dogs in maine and you can look in the phone book or just look on the internet
