IT ALL DEPENDS !
even with a projectile of the same size, the damage which occurs will vary from one impact to another. If the type or calibre of the projectile can vary, then the number of impacts required to cause lethal damage will be more difficult to pin down.
An almost infinite number of BB pellets will be necessary to batter your shoulder to a pulp, and this will happen so gradually that you'd probably heal a lot of the damage while it's going on.
The damage caused by a three-bladed hunting arrow will be very different from the mess that a copper-jacketed hollowpoint bullet makes. Either (or both) would be gruesome.
A small cannonball will remove your shoulderblade in a single pass, taking your arm with it. No longer having a shoulder, you would be unable to get shot in it, and you'd survive until your attackers managed to figure out that other bodyparts can be shot at (as they eventually did with Horatio Nelson).
A nuclear weapon detonating anywhere near your shoulder, will definitely kill you.

Since there are no organs in your shoulders, and you're not talking about blood loss, in theory you could be shot infinitely in the shoulder and not die.

Without medical treatment, not many. The body would go into shock, which can kill you very quickly if untreated.
