Yes. Statutory holidays, Christmas break, spring break, summers off. FYI: our Thanksgiving Day is the second Monday of October. Cool, eh?

Just depends on what province for some Holidays

2 weeks around Christmas
1 day for thanksgiving
2 days for Easter
1 week in March
and about June 20 to Sept. 5 completely off.

The holidays vary a bit from province to privince; Alberta may take off Nov. 11.
