Hi.........Do u find that every once in awhile u get sick of cooking the same ol' thing & crave change? So, then u seem to be on this journey of finding new, inventive & easy foods, lol? But, then u go back to ur same ol' routine soon after? Well, I am guilty of all the above!!! I've got 3 teenage boys & a husband, so I'm going thru this all the time.>>>>There's a few things I do.....yes, recipes can be time consuming & may take a lot of ingredients; I very seldom use them myself, simply chose easier one's. But I do scan my favourite chefs on foodtv.com & on tv simply for ideas & just put my own twist on it. BUT, I look all the time, at different times, even when I'm not looking for change. I find that it is much much more difficult & stressful actively searching for new ideas that very day ur craving change! So, check things out when ur bored, when u have the time, & keep notes, print the recipes out. When I do chose a recipe, it's not a terribly complicated one. I go by the recipe once, so I know how it should taste, then if I ever make it again, I make it how I want to, with my own little tweeks!!! We r stuck in this never ending cycle of coming up with new ideas but I find that the biggest problem is if we actually stick with it or not!!! My biggest problem now is learning to work with new flavours; as in spices, sauces, etc. So, when I have the extra money, I'm going to buy a cook book by one of my favourite chef's, try the recipes, then tweek them as I please. Till, then I just keep watching for new idea's. A lot of it depend's on how good u do cook & how far ur willing to go! But, Good Luck with it! Sry I couldn't be of more help but try what I suggested & c how it goes. There's not one recipe that will solve our problem, we have to educate ourself on changes, by doing the research! ZETA!!!

go to http://www.foodnetwork.com/ and search for recipes that are easy to make. they list them in terms of ease. try rachael ray's 30-minute meal recipes, they're usually simple enough. or try sandra lee's semi-homemade dishes, etc.

easiest dishes i know are fried or roasted chicken, beef steak, pork chops, and stews. they call for limited ingredients and things you always have on hand.
