I think it stinks when true Christian say they love Jesus. When indeed Jesus was all about Love. He loved the whore down the streets, he loved the thieves next to him on the cross when he died. So why can't you love Gay, Lesbian, Bisexuals and Transgenered folks? They are human beings too. If you know your Bible it says:"Love one another as I have loved you."

To Daniell Susskind,
You make me sick. I ask that question because I am open minded individual. That does not mean that I have to be GAy. Right? Does it. So why can't Adults who are open minded ask these kind of questions, without being insulted by low minded folks like your self. Shame on you. Pray 1,000 hail marry's and hope you do not go to hell!

Okay, completley agree. Because I should not have centralized it with the statement "Are Christians." So sorry that I have done it. To error is human, to forgive is devine.

I totally agree. People who claim to be Christians and hate homosexuals aren't true Christians anyway. Love one another is supposed to be the number one commandment. In the field I work in, I deal with many homosexuals. One of them I am very close to and I love him like a brother. And guess what? I am a Christian. I am tired of people using the word "Christian" to justify hate, twisting the biblical word around to fit what "they" want it to be. Don't believe the hype! You can't hate and call yourself a Christian at the same time.

Can I suggest something to you please ? Don't call everyone a Christian just because they have a Bible or go to church. It will spare the feelings and reputation of real Christians.
There are people who are not Christians.
Thera are people who call themselves Christians
There are people WHO ARE Christians.
.
Christians don't hate anybody.
However, it appears that there are a great majority of people who are determined not to accept the truth no matter how plainly or how often it is stated.
IT IS THE ACT NOT THE ACTOR that ithe Bible says is wrong.
Christians are being asked to love or accept an act that the Bible plainly calls sin.
Some in society today say that gays, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered folk are born this way and can't help themselves.
The Bible says it is a choice that is made by an individual. The Bible also says that God can help any of these people to stop making these choices.
The question for you and for me is this...
Who do we choose to believe ? God in the Bible or Society.
This may not be an answer you want to hear but it is a truthful answer and a plea to stop falsely accusing Christians of hating homosexuals.

First, when you say Christians, please remember that not everyone that calls themselves that are Christians. Jesus even said there will be those that said "have we not done many wonderful things in your name" to which HE will answer, depart from me, I never knew you. In short, they were never Christians to begin with.
You see, there is a difference between believing Jesus existed and therefore calling yourself a Christian and being one.
I am saying this because I know many real Christians that do not hate homosexuals or anyone else. That does not mean we approve of their lifestyle or the sin they may be doing anymore then one can love a murderer but not like the act they did to become one.
I for one have written to a well known group that pickets military funerals although I did not get a reply from them. I did not expect one from this hypocritical group
I would like to step out on a limb and say further that when I was a small child, I was kidnapped and raped by a homosexual but I reach out to them anytime they ask for help. I would even ask my abuser if I were to meet him today...do you know Jesus and I would explain to him how he too could have eternal life.
To be a Christian, read the first link.

How many times does this need a response? Christian do not hate gay people. At least if they are true Christians. So, don't group everyone together. That's like saying all black people hate white people (based on rantings of Al Sharpton and other black leaders). This would be rediculous. Christians are taught to love everyone, and all those who I associate with do. Christ did love everyone, but he also was honest with them about their actions and told them not to do that which was against the laws of God. He told the prostitute to do it no more. God has told people to do many things, and when they didn't they were punished.

I completely agree with you. However, I think it is unfair of you to stereotype all Christians by implicating that we do not love gays, lesbians, etc. Do not let the attitudes of a few Christians that are publicized lead you to believe that we are all that way. It is always important to remember that Christians are not perfect. But I do believe that as a part of our walk with Jesus we have to try to love all individuals.

Faith without works is dead. The professing Christian that passes judgment on another either does not have an understanding deep enough to do the works of their faith; are being fooled by people included doctrine; or are not as you stated true Christians. Some who claim to be Christians become very arrogant and feels that it is now there job to put others down and are not following the lead of Jesus which is the purpose of being Christian.
Cute how the votes are based not on what is really said but in whether they were Believer or Non-Believer responses....close you minds, base it on narrow experience.
None of us, not a one of us, knows for sure what is in the heart of another. It is not our role to judge and condemn. As humans we will have our opinions, but it is up to God to determine what is true in the hearts of others.

Hypocrits love to say "Love the sinner, hate the sin". I like "Love the christian, hate the christianity".
How about "Love the heterosexual, hate the heterosexuality"? Wouldn't that mean I also hate your spouse and children?
There's really no way to seperate such an intimate and important part of one's being from the total. Gay certainly isn't the total of what I am, but my partner of 32 years is VERY important to me. That should not be trivialized. The people fighting to ensure that our relationship has no legal standing are scum in my opinion. IF they want to "protect" marriage, why aren't they pushing to outlaw adultery and divorce? Because they don't want restrictions on THEMSELVES, that's why.
If you can't tell, I despise these sanctimonious, hypocritical bigots who have no respect for the equality supposedly guaranteed by the US Consitution.
Comparing my supposed "sins" to rape, murder, etc. is simply ludicrous. When will they start comparing the sin of divorce to murder?

I don't know many Christians that hate homosexuals. I know many that hate homosexuality because God says that it is an abomination, and the the beginning of wisdom is to hate evil. Most Christians would give a great deal to see these people turn from their sins and turn to the Lord.
Your premise that Jesus is ALL about love is way off. Jesus is more about holiness than love. Also righteous is God's major teaching, remember that He came to save His people from their sins

Better question would be why do people like you assume that all Christians HATE homosexuals? I happen to have several gay friends and a couple family members, of whom I love deeply.

This question gets asked again and again on this forum. How many times do you want to hear that WE DON'T HATE THEM!!!!!
We only want what's best for them. By choosing to sin, gays, like everyone else, is choosing a rotten bologna sandwich over a T bone steak dinner. There is better available for them if they'll just wait.
