I have naturally curly hair and I do this all the time, blow dry hair (turn curling iron on highest setting to preheat it)some what straight by pulling big peices tight and drying each part separtly. Once you've done that get you'r already hot iron and run it down hair slowly to get a straight look. If you have unruley hair you may have to put some hiarspray lightly on each peice so it will hold form. When you have more time have a friend blowdry it for you.
Do the pulling thing just to get it dry then you need one of those round wooden medium bristol brushes like $8.00 and start at the root of each section hold dryer pretty close to hair and turn brush while pulling hair the tighter, teh hotter, the better. Then put like a smothener on the ends to give a finished look works for me hope it does for you good luck. DONT EVER PUT A PERM TO STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR UNLESS DONE PROFESSIONALLY!!!!!! Mine fell out for a while..

Mine is the same way and I would have it 2x4 straight naturally if I could get it. There are many products out there, but I use 1) a hair straightner (same section as perms) at your local Walmart, or where ever you shop for stuff like that, 2) then after I wash and towel dry, I just use product, usually a smoothing to catch any fly aways then blowdry.

Ok . The cheapest way to straighten ur hair.
Wash ur hair. pat it with dry towel. The hair shud nt become completely dry. There has to b 90% of the wetness. Now get a hair dryer n a comb. take partitions and blow dry each of it by holding the tip of the partiton with the comb.
I think this style will last for 3 to 4 days or a week , until ur next wash.

Get a home relaxer kit. They only cost around $5 to $10 but make sure you read the instructions carefully. You may even want to have a friend do it for you so they can get to the back better. Just make sure you wash it out completely, you don't wanna burn any of your hair out. Also, I have the same problem but don't like to add lots of chemicals to my hair so I wash it and tie it in a tight ponytail while its still wet and just let it dry that way. I make sure to brush all of the curls straight which makes it dry straight and I wear a dew rag tight on my head at night to keep the curls from reproducing. =-)

lol I have the same problem
Seriously I have tried everything........but last year I went and bought a ceramic hair straightener $50.00 but it works so well!! I use it all the time and you would never tell that my hair is naturally curly. You def. need to buy a hair serum also. That cost like $6.00 in any store. Then you should be good to go...Hope everything works out okay !!!!

Sorry, but your curly hair is genetic. The only thing you can do for long term straitening is to get it done professionally. I recommend going to a Yuko Salon. Just look it up on Yahoo! When the Yuko method was first introduced on the market it was very expensive. Women like Jennifer Aniston helped draw attention to the company.

Are you talking for a short period of time? You can always iron your hair. Like in using a real clothes iron. Its real easy. Just lay your hair on a bed and have someone else brush it and iron it at the same time. It has to be dry or damp, not soaked. Its real effective, just not very good for your hair in the long run.

You can buy a hair straightner for about $20.

Or, blow it out with a blowdryer (which you probably already own.) Use lots of heat and keep brushing as you blow it dry.

There is a japanese hair straightening system too. Only at salons. It is very expensive, but lasts for over a year.

If you never straignetn your hair try your local beatuy college first, because the students will work on you its cheeper, then ask them what type of Flat Iron to buy. I would try Salleys Beatuy supplies they are a little more expensive then wal-mart but the last a whole lot longer.

If you live near a dominican hair salon , they can blowdry it straight for you for about 10-20 bucks which includes a wash
