There are several methods you could use, depending on what sort of curl you want to achieve:

1) If you have ceramic straigteners (ghd or similar) you can use these to curl the hair, by wrapping the hair around the barrell, once clamped, once and then pulling the irons down the hair shaft. Spray first with a heat protector spray and as you go along spray the hair with a fixing spray.

2) if your hair has naturally a bit of a wave to it, wash it with anti frizz shampoo and then when wet put a little curling gel/serum/spray onto it and dry upside down scrunching gently into a diffuser hair dryer.

3)Put damp hair into overnight rag curlers and sleep on it (this method can be a little unpredictable)

Personally i prefer the first method, as although the curling takes a little while to get the hang of, once you can do it you can control exactly what the curls look like, how many you have, and where they go.

Hope this is useful!

to curl your own hair is very simple make sure your hair is completely dry and brushed then start with the bottom of your hair in sections grab a section of about an inch spray with a heat styler or hairspray curl leave the curling iron on a couple of seconds and move on if you want kind of like finger waves curl your hair the same way I mean the holding the curling iron the same way and at the end brush it out applying a silk product.if you have any questions you can e-mail me.

Put it in a crocodile clip (you know the clips which have teeth) they have pretty ones on Accessorize.co.uk and then get some curling tongs or hair straightners and wrap the hair which is loose around them in sections.
If your hair is long when its curled get a few grips and pin them up a little too.

Have a great night and Merry Christmas!

make 2 pony tails one above half your ear lenght and then one below it, grob parts of the pony tail and twist round your finger and clip it into your hair (barrel curls), do this with the whole lot then get a friend to tuck the ends in and hide the clips you can see by pushing them in more or covering them with other curls.

if you have straighteners you can use them to curl your hair.. it looks much better then curling with curling tongs

Do not wash your hair the day of the ball .. it may sound dirty but the curls last so much longer with unwashed hair!! trust me

hope this helps!!

the spongy curlers you can get are great they are bendy so you just wrap your hair in them i would suggest you go to bed with them in and put hairspray on each piece of hair before curling it also the braun independent gas tongs are really gud i have really long thick hair and it has worked for me

if you have little money put your hair in rags, like in the oldern days,
You can use rags or toilet roll as i use wrap around the hair then roll up hair then tie the toilet roll/rag at the scalp when its all rolled up, do it on dry hair only then spray with lots of hairspray when done go to bed then take them all out perfect!!

Or you could just curl with GHD's if you have them.
