Your love for me has just got to be real.......... Despite my avatar I'm a pagan. I didn't choose it, it chose me. It makes sense to me because the gods I worship are real things, the earth, the stars, etc, not some invisible man whose only proof is in a book of disputed authorship. I find the rituals of pagan gods encourage an active role, and are inspiring and motivating, rather than bland or authoritarian.Just wanted to add that I find Satanism to be extremely self-empowering and a valid philosophy, but there are too many wannabe's in it these days and I think since Blanche Barton took over the leadership of the Church of Satan has gone to sh'it.

Satanism is an offshoot of Luciferianism. Which acknowledges Good and Evil, but still says do what you want, because it will all work out in the end. Satanists don't even believe in Satan.
If you worship Satan, you're a Devil Worshipper.
Get your story straight!

I'm a chaos mage. I came to it after a lot of studying combined with my own observations on how the world works, and heavy application of Clarke's Third Law (to paraphrase, sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic).
I read the Satanic Bible earlier this year, mostly for the take on magic in it (which I like). The philosophy is sound; I just haven't got the temperament for it.

I know what a satanist is but I did have to research it to find out (many years ago). It gets a bad rap because of the name. I don't label myself as any one particular belief system so I simply call myself a pagan.

If satanism isn't believing in satan...then why is it called "satanism"? You even quoted Lucifer...wouldn't that imply that you hold someone named Lucifer in high esteem? You got me curious now...
I'm LDS. I chose that religion because I have received undeniable answers to prayers confirming that it is the true church.

Mormon/LDS, because I have studied hundreds of religions and it made the most logical sense to me. Oh, and I also believe God answers prayers.

"Do what thou wilt is the whole of the Law."
I am a Thelemite. I choose this religion/spirituality because it fits my beliefs. (we are all one, there is only one law: Love and Will)
"Love is the law, love under will"

I am a Mennonite because I believe that modesty, belief in Jesus Christ, and shying away from a worldly life is what God had in mind for us when he created us.
