For me theres no ideal age of getting engage. If you're both ready to take your relationship to another level why not.But being engage means in the closest time you'll get married.Just think about it a hundred times. Just be responsible to each other.

depends on you I know many couples that got engaged at 18 and 19. It is the first step but marriage comes later, you dont have to set a date on your engagement. You been together 4 years that's longer than most couples are together before they get married

I am 29 and just got engaged a few months ago. Funny when I was 21 I was with the same guy for 6 years and I was madly in love with him. I wanted to get engaged soo bad but he didn't. We went our seperated ways and 10 years later.... he's gay.
Good thing I didn't marry him!! We are good friends now.
Just take your time honey, no rush.

Just whenever you are both ready! I was married @age 20 and he was 21 so its whatever really. If you are ready then being 21 won't hurt. We have been married almost 5 yrs now!

If you two have been dating for 4 years , and you know you two are right for each other, go for it. there is really ideal age to get engaged. you two are both adults and knows what you want. go and be happy. remember you have to have trust, and communication in your marriage .

There is no "ideal" age. I wouldn't get engaged until you're both mature enough to know more about love and marriage.

when u to feel it is right i have been with my fiance since i was 17 and him 19 and we got engaged this year and i felt that was far too long to wait u know when u are ready some relationships can last years and years and fall apart.

You are both too youngm, you got together when you were children.
Don;t hold your breath for this one honey and don;t push things to get engaged or marrried, You still have lots of experiences to live and to do, marriage should not be on top of your list.
