There's this guy at school who people have told me that he likes me, but I'm not sure whether it's a joke or not. He does look at me in a weird way when he sees me, and I keep hearing him say stuff, like the other day he was offering somebody money to ask 'her' something, when I was sat in front of him.

Be aggressive! Try and talk to him yourself. You sound very young so this is a time to have fun and date. Find out for yourself, that way if he's not, you can move on.
