Does it bother you that some who wouldn't know Jesus if He hit them up side the head, not only want Christians to follow what the Bible really says, they also want them to follow all the made-up things they just think or assume He said, or heard someone else say He said, but He never ever said?

Well, they only misquote Jesus when they want to prove something bad about Him. If you wanted to prove how great of a man he was, you don't have to misquote him at all, just read what He said.

You want to hear misquotes? Get a BAAAAAHptist started. They can mangle the Bible worse then a Witness.

I don't like it when ANYONE is misquoted. Jesus, world leaders, co-workers, all it does is lead to confusion and possible dislike or hatered.

Yes.

For example; Turn the other cheek.

Christ taught this for when one is proselytizing another.

If they get mad at you, curse you, or offend you.

Turn the other cheek.

Not when some one smacks you for no justified reason.
