I believe in God and in Jesus Christ his son. But I struggle with some stories in teh bible. Can I take these to be tales to make a point or is everything literal. An example: that one man could build an ark big enough to contain two of every type of animal?! I think not!

However, I have no problem with anything in the New Testament... Can I be a Christian and think these things?

Literally means lots of things to different people. True is the key word. If it can't be believed that Noah can build a huge Ark in 100 years, a story that is passed down in almost every culture, then how can it be believed that God came to earth in the human form of the Christ? I believe both, but the Ark story seems easier to me than the Christ story.

You believe that the Apostle Paul raised a man from the dead, yet you can't believe that Noah built a boat whose specifics are recorded in great detail?

That's interesting.
