As a few of you already know & I'm ashamed to say it, Lovejoy was mine, the jeans & the blazer combo was always a winner!

I had a thing for Jimmy Nail when he was in Crocodile Shoes (I love geordie accents!)when I was a teenager, and also Chris Evans! There is something sexy about ginger men! At the moment I have a massive crush on Ben Fogle! Like posh boys too! I don't have types as such, just certain things catch my fancy!

When I was about eight, I had a jumper with Jason Donovan's stupid mullet head on it. I loved him. I feel dirty now, thinking about it. I also had a thing for Shakin' Stevens (unless you're from the UK or Ireland and were young in the 80s, you won't have a clue who this is), but my ultimate embarrassing crush is David Bowie, because I still love him, despite the general disapproval of just about everyone I know.

My most embarrasing crush happened when I was 13.
I moved with my parents to Germany (my dad was in the Air Force) We stayed in temporary lodging for a month. I found out there was this cute guy (14 years old) living next door. I would see him looking at me, from his window and he stole my heart.
So one day when he was outside on his back porch, I had my sister act as though she were talking German to me. I too did the same. Neither one of us knew how to speak German, but our weird made up language came close. The Boy then came over and smiled at us. I could have melted right there. But to my shock and horror, he started to speak....ENGLISH! He wasnt German at all, but American just like us. He thought I and my sis were germans so he started to talk in broken German....while I sat there as red and embarrassed as a tomatoe. He soon found out we were joking around...and he and I became great friends.

My lesson, was that you should be HONEST with someone you are head over heals in love with. Dont act fake, or you will look & feel as dumb as I did that day!

My grade 3 teacher. I was 7 at the time and i recited a poem that I'd written to him to let him know just how great i thought he was. It was 1979 and he wore brown flares and had a huge afro! LMAO.. he was so clever and i guess i dug intelligent, strange looking men at an early age. (Talk about from the mouths of babes comes the adult)
