What foods are considered liquids or gels? I couldn't find an answer to this question on TSA's website.

I don't think it counts. But if you want to be safe, call the airline you're flying on. They all have 800 customer service numbers.

Here's the US Transportation Security Administration's website with their list of permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm Problem is they don't really address cake! I would think if there wasn't any of much frosting you'd be OK..... frosting could be called a cream.... right? You could check with your carrier, but I'm not sure they could tell you. You could try asking the TSA... they have a contact us page scroll to passenger and traveler information and see if you can get an answer.... here's the link: http://contact.tsa.dhs.gov/default.aspx It could just come down to a judgment call by each individual screener at security.

Hope this helps. Happy travels!

I would call your airline and ask them because that seems to be a foggy area.
