God does not want you to be a Muslim for He is the only true and living God. Just because you are born into a Christian family do not make you a Christian. To know what Christianity is like you must confess with your lips Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raise Him from the dead. You then be water-baptized and baptized in the Holy Spirit, study the word and pray and worship in spirit and in truth. Then you will experience what real Christianity is all about as you walk in the Spirit and be like Jesus. I doubt you have done all these and have known the real thing.

No one on yahoo answers can give the answer to this question. You and only you can decide on what religion is best for you. Take time to study the religion that interests you, as you study the decision will come easily. In my opinion, no one religion is better that the other. Don't let the influence of other people hinder your journey to the truth, whatever you believe that to be. Humans are judgmental, just read some of the answers posted. Let God guide you, not yahoo answers. Peace!

Well, you are right about one thing for sure-you are confused. Think about it for a moment-you can not "be a christian" and "not agree" with it. Maybe you were "raised" in a Christian environment but "never became" a christian. That would make more sense, or maybe you just "think" you were raised in a christian environment-that would make sense too.
If you think you want to be a Muslim-go for it. But, to really be fair with yourself, you should investigate what a christian really is, because obviously you do not know.

I think the question to ask yourself is whether, despite of the negative publicity and the Islamic terrorists, would an Islam realy convert to Christianity or Judaism. The most probable answer is NO. As much as it might suck, change is only induced by one person at a time and before you know it, it spreads and touches people like a wild fire. So stick to Christianity, live by your principles and impact others.

Islam has many of the same thoughts about religion and life, but it is not the way to God. The way to God is through Jesus Christ. You have probably felt pressured by your family and forced to go to church, but now that you are an adult I ask you to make the right choice. The Truth, Jesus Christ, came to us humbly, not as a rich King or powerful leader. He came to the poor and oppressed. His conception was of God and the Holy Spirit separating Him from sin and death. He preached the Word of God, what God himself told him to say to his people. But his main mission, his reason for coming was to share the truth with all that would accept it and to die so that we are free from the ties of sin. He never rose up in anger against another in anger, never claimed to be better to us because He loved us as a brother loves his siblings and as a father loves his sons and daughters. This is the truth and not a day goes by that I am not completely thankful for the sacrifice Christ made to come and die for us. May God bring you to the right choice, and may I meet you on the last day.

God Bless,
Elisha

Of course it is. I suggest you study more before becoming a Muslim though. You want to know the faith you choose. There are many sites and also many books on the religion. Sorry if I sounded harsh before - still drinking my morning coffee.
Feel free to email me with more questions. I can also give you good sources to go and look up instead of the propaganda stuff.

I guess u r verry young and unexperienced . I guess also that u want to convert to islam becouse of a man . Dear , please read the whole Bible and read also the Quran , and only after understanding both of it and compare it ,take a mature decision . Changing religion is not like changing ur sock . Dont do this step easily . U might regret later ,it could be too late .Dont forget that Jesus didnt ordered death to no one like Mohamed did ,he didnt impose hard punishments like Mohamed did , He didnt made wars like Mohamed did ,nor he did have sexual slaves like Mohamed did . Jesus forgave all his opressors , Mohamed killed all his "opressors" as he was "ordered" from Allah .Why u want to change a Saint who gave his life so that u can live for an ordinary man who claim he is a prophet of God ??Take care of ur soul to whom u give it , becouse u might give ur soul to devol without even know it .
God bless u and take care of u ,sweety .

It's the same God, so the choice is basically whether you believe Jesus was the son of God or not, If you do then you're a Christian. If you don't, then maybe you belong with the Muslims.
