My 18 month old daughter does that sometimes, I just pull her hand from her mouth and say NO in a stern voice and then occupy her with something else.

My 15 month old daughter does that. I pull her hand out of her mouth and tell her NO-NO! You have to be stern about it each and every time she does it. If not she'll continue to gag herself

My daughter is 2 and used to do the same thing. I didnt realize it was something so common! We would just tell her "No" and mover her hands. I think they grow out of it pretty quickly.

well if there is nothing physically wrong with her, make sure to ask your Doctor, could be a very sore throat, but after that if it is nothing to do with that you should just ignore her, she might just be looking for attention, take her attention away from that behavior and get her interested in something else but dont let in to scolding or showing fear because that might be just what she is looking for.

My daughter used to do that with her fingers and laugh. It used to freak me out, but eventually it stopped. I don't understand the fascination with doing that, but ask your pediatrician if you are feeling insecure about it.

Just remove her hands from her mouth and tell her to stop. Make sure that you are very consistent with it and she will eventually stop. It is very normal. Good luck.

my 2 year does that to, kids love to discover doing new things and when they do, they like to do them so just pull her hands from her mouth and so no tell her that its a bad thing to do and keep doing then every time she does it, never ignore it or hope that it will just go away you have to let her know that she shouldnt be doing it

Tell her to stop doing it and then ignore it. She's doing it for attention. She'll stop soon enough.
