first you are a revert not a convert. Islam is the last message given by God and all are Muslims. When you come back to the right way of Islam you are reverting not converting.
Now as for your name you can keep the one you have. Pick a Arab name you like. Or have a Imam pick one for you. I use both my birth name as well as an Arabic one. This is because if a person mispronounces my English name it is not a very nice translation. (poop) but my Arabic name which is a correct translation given of my English name is beautiful and was given to me by my Imam and friend.
It is something for you to decide. Just like if you truely believe in reverting.

Choosing a name is not required. The majority of converts choose to keep their original names. Some, like myself, choose to add on a Muslim name officially (add on, not replace).
Secondly, it doesn't sound like you know much about islam so I wonder if your question is sincere. Islam people? We're called Muslims - and you'd know that if you knew anything about our religion.
If you're sincere then go look up some names on the internet.

If you are referring to changing your name to an Arabic name, then there is probably no need to change it (unless it is something offensive).
I disagree with non-Arabs changing their names to Arabic names (except in rare circumstances). I am non-Arab and I do not want anyone either imagining I am Arab or thinking that I wish to be. As you may know, a large majority of Muslims are non-Arab.
Keep your name, as well as your family name, and keep your family name even when you get married (1).

Usually a new convert will have to choose their own name, you can always make reference to the islamic book store and find a book regarding the names. Each name will carry a different meaning according to Islam. I am glad that you have chosen the right path towards eternity. Assalamualaikum, welcome you my sister. Examples of muslim names are Siti Aishah, Fatimah,
Fatihah, Nurul Atiqah.............

You are thinking about converting to Islam, and you are still calling yourself a Christian? That doesn't make sense. If you really have studied Islam, and think it is for you, you'd have already dropped Christianity.
You do not have to change your name at all. I know converts to Islam who have kept their names. That is up to you.
I think you need to learn alot more about Islam before you do anything.

Al-salaamu alaikum! You may keep your birth name unless it means something offensive, then perhaps you'd want to change it. I let my friends select my new name and it truely fit me. :-). I hope you study hard and understand the hadiths and fatwas as well as the suras in the Holy Quran. You may find some beautiful female names in the Holy Quran as well.

(sorry, but you don't allow email)...
Are you a christian because you labeled yourself that or because you believe in Jesus and what He said? If you believe in Jesus and what He said, then you should know that He is the only way to the father. Why would you want to convert to a completely other religion with a different god (notice the little 'g')?
