I'm sorry you feel like a created device that would obviously not have free will. Devices are controlled. How do people get that way? Denial...did God not give us the Good Book to live a joyful life? We will never be perfect ever but we can make choices to be happy or miserable and to do this we need free will. Do you agree? Back to denial....deny Him and His Word and what does one get. Now back to miserable.....I would suggest one might take up an interest in educating themselves on Satan...he is the big MO of miserable.

It is not true that an omnipotent God can do anything, like create any possible world. It is entirely possible that it is not within God's power to create a world containing moral "good" without that world also containing moral "evil." Even an all-powerful God cannot do the logically impossible like create a square circle. So yes, we have freewill like you chose to write your question.
It is logically impossible to make someone freely do "good." If he makes them, they are not free. If they are free, he can't make them. So God cannot guarantee that a world of free persons will not commit evil or make bad choices.

You have a slanted way of looking at things. God did not make people to play with. Maybe that is what pleasure means to you, but to me it means that he enjoys us. Do people plan to have children so they can have them as toys? No, we enjoy our children and I don't believe we think of them as toys. God does not threaten us with death. He offers life. Knowing the consequences of our choice does not take that choice away from us. Hiding the consequences would not be fair to us. So you have one way of looking at this topic, but there are other ways as well. It is your freewill choice to believe or disbelieve.

...we're like the marbles at the end of the movie MIB...
You've hit this nail on the head. Forget any physical proof requirements, or historical reference material in the Bible...this is the one point that has always given me pause from my original Christian upbringing. It makes no sense to give free will and require that we give it up for "salvation". As such, I very much believe in a higher power...and the toy theory is much along the same lines as I see it.

So if there is no "freewill", tha must mean that God is the one responsible for "forcing" us to sin?
"Free will" simply means that God permits humans to make their own moral choices and holds them accountable for their decisions. That is a principle taught consistently throughout the scriptures.

Uh, honey, you have the free will to believe in God or not. And you are obviously exercising that free will. Just because God knows our hearts does not mean He influnces us to follow Him. That is Free Will. He wants us to love Him because we want to love Him, not because we are forced or programed or have no choice. Created, yes, but we can choose to follow our creator or turn our back on Him. That is His love for us that He will give us life, and then not force us to love Him. He loves us even when we turn our back on Him, but He never takes away our Free Will.

You are right. God made mistakes. If powerful is god, all nature power are god. If intellegence is god, All wise man in the world are god. If long life is god, there are many long life men in the world. As budha said; you are god, depend on what you are doing. The new testiment 8 nobles phaiss, Who do something good to people but sacrified himself is called son of god. Who is god?

According to your logic, children would not be capable of having free-will since they were "created" by their parents, there is a chance they will die, and they are often "coerced" into making certain decisions. I think those who feel that God gave us free will basically see him or her as a parent figure who did indeed create us but also allows us to make our own decisions.

the beauty of religion is that you no longer have to spend time pondering about these deep filosophical questions... pry to god and go to ehaven is quite easy, so people with an average IQ will be happy with this simplistic view of the universe. Religions must be stopped! I dream of the day when Vatican city be transformed into an amusement park.

Because, you are so full of it and wrong on all counts.
All were spirits or in spirit bodies before flesh.
Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Rom 9:10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
Rom 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
Rom 9:12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
Rom 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
There is freewill and election or God's purpose.
Rom 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Rom 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Most have freewill but a few are called for God's glory, plan, purpose, and will.
Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
