Yes.
I have even flown around the world ( 2 months ago) and i was able to take all shampoos , gels, irons, excetera.
You just can't take them as carry -ons.

There is no problem with the curling iron, but if you take hair spray you should take the pump bottle instead of the aerosol can. Be sure to check, if you are traveling internationally, that your curling iron will work where you are going. Some countries have different current. If this is the case be sure to take an adapter. Have a great trip!

yes, anithing can go there, i mean, anithing that will not be considered as dangerous by the airline. the problem is wiht the carry on, there you can not bring razors, or anithing that can be used as a withe gun, liquids, paste or gels.
