You will need to defrost it fully. Best in the fridge. Take the turkey out of all its packaging, strings, etc. Put it in cold water in the fridge. As it thaws, pry it open, remove the giblets - don't throw them away.
Once completely thawed, rinse it inside and out with cold water. Salt the cavity. Are you going to stuff it? Try this stuffing: Peel and cut at least a dozen potatoes into bite size pieces, boil them. Drain potatoes and add about 3-4 cups of dried bread pieces, one medium large onion, chopped, about 1 cup of dried Newfoundland Summer Savoury, salt and pepper. Mix all this together and stuff into turkey cavity. Sew or pin opening closed, place any extra stuffing around bird in pan. Baste with melted butter. Place the giblets in the pan with bird, don't waste them, they are tasty when cooked. (Don't feed them to the dog, though. Might make him sick). Cook 450 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Reduced oven temp to 350 and cook 1/2 hour for every pound of turkey. Baste turkey with pan juices regularly. Check for doneness by cutting turkey where leg joins back. Meat should be white and juice should be clear. Enjoy!

I don't know, but the November issue of Real Simple (magazine) has a lot of great tips. You should check it out... or try their website.
