Haitch if you want to stir up controversy and irritate a lot of people!

It should be pronounced aitch, but a number of people mispronounce it haitch. There is no better authority for this than the fact if you look up aitch in the dictionary, you'll find it. If you look up haitch, you won't!

it's aitch but it does make a huh sound like hello. yeah most people would think it to be haitch though because that has an "H" in it.

As far as I know, the correct way to pronounce H is aitch.
I think that those who say haitch are trying to sound posh.

Aitch. haitch is terribly common. this is why words beginning with h are pre-fixed by 'an' not 'a' .

It should be aitch.
Although I've noticed people who say 'Haitch' are the same ones who drop the H from the front of words. Any one else noticed that?
