I woke yesterday morning with the phone ringing and was unable to pick it up and answer it. Occasionally just one hand will "go to sleep" while doing a variety of activities. I also have had a tingling sensation in my feet and legs while laying down. Should I visit my doctor?

If you are on any medications, check and see if tingling or numbness is a side effect of that first. If not, definitely see a Dr.

As for your hands going to sleep even while doing activities, it could be carpal tunnel or some slight nerve damage.I have both and it was diagnosed with extensive testing from a neurologist.
Talk to your Dr. about that possiblility.
Also, ask them to do a blood test for a potassium count. Low potassium can cause problems including tingling, numbness or even temporary paralysis(usually starting with the legs) My husband will become paralysed for hours at a time due to a drop in potassium. It can be serious.

Good Luck!

Go see your doctor. Also your age can be a factor. Sounds like there may be an issue with blood circulation; or it could be symptoms of something else.

How long has this been going on? Was it only on one occasion? Since I am not a medical doctor I would suggest that you go see one.

Good luck and I hope everything works out fine for you.

Numbness and tingling can be a sign of an impending stroke. Get tests done. Do not let the doc fob you off. In the meantime, eat 1/2 an aspirin every day

Might be multiple sclerosis. Usually MS is diagnosed with 2 or more symptoms at the same time. See a neurologist. Don't worry - there are medications for tingling & weakness to help you; but no cure.

Unless you were sleeping on your hands or somehow manipulating blood flow with the position of your limbs. I would see a doctor immediately.

Any time you don't have the answer to your health problems go see a doctor. You never know and it's always better to be safe than sorry.
