Yes...spending time with someone who is terminally ill will make you reliaze just how precious life is and how quickly it can be gone. If you open your eyes and heart, what you can learn from someone terminally ill and the seriousness of their situation, is enormous. You can truly learn the meaning of words like compassion, faith, etc.

Anything that puts our lives in the correct perspective is going to make us value life more.

Yes, that would make us think of our lives... They are showing their courage for facing up to their illness.. its not easy to live when u know that death is just round the corner.. it takes lots of guts and determination. I have seen people who are dying lving a full life, laughing and enjoying what's left for them till their dying day. Yet, people who are healthy will always complain about their lives whether its becos of work, financial difficulty, earning more money, bad bosses etc... must they be so bitter abt their lives?

I think just spending time with them would make us value what we have. It would make us realize how lucky we are to be alive and celebrate life, and not take life for granted. Life is too short!

Absolutely, it makes you appreciate life! It gives you a cause for reflection... what have you done, what would you like to do and see before you die. I've spent time with a couple of friends who have passed and it has had a postive effect on my outlook on life. Losing them is hard, but, being their friend and having their friendship is a priceless treasure.

Just looking at how they are suffering should already be a lesson for us, should teach us to live life to the full and take more care of our health.

That God still cares and that we may be ensnared by the devil's illnesses but he will not touch us in eternal life with God-- That is if we accept God here on earth

Yes they probably could, but most of us wouldn't listen until we were affected directly. Otherwise why do normally intelligent people smoke?
