I would make scalloped potatoes, a nice salad and some dinner rolls. The potatoes or a potato side dish would be simple enough. A salad is also quick. And as far as the rolls go you could just buy those from a near by bakery. That would be really simple! Maybe you could also make something with jello for the toddler to enjoy. But the toodler should be able to eat some of the other food. Unless, he or she is still pretty young.

We always have pineapple slices on the ham. For vegetables,
mashed potatoes, sweet potatoe or squash, peas and carrots.
Any comination of the above with the potatoe. Its up to you. I f you're having dessert buy a pie or whip up a pudding. Again it depends on how far you want to go with it.

here in the south, we always have potato salad with our ham, its not hard to do, and can be made the day ahead, its actually better if it sits in fridg a day,,,,,,, just boil potato cubes till cooked but still firm, add mayo, sweet pickles, salt, pepper, and chopped oinion to it,,,,
green beans/or another green vegetable,,, rolls,,,,, a dessert,, is really all you need
