The Pharisees who had witnessed undeniable evidence that Jesus Christ performed miracles in the power of the Holy Spirit. Yet they attributed the miracles to Satan. In the face of irrefutable evidence they ascribed the work of the Holy Spirit to that of Satan. Read Matthew 12:31&32
This is what many Biblical Scholars agree can not be dupilicated today.
The only thing today that will not be forgiven is a person that never makes Jesus Christ their Savior.
Sometimes Satan will try and get a Christian to believe thay have done something that will not be forgiven. If we had, wouldn't Satan give up trying to get us to sin? Also if we had done something unforgiveable, why would we feel bad about it?
1 John 1:9 is a very good verse to remember," If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If you are concerned that you have committed the unpardonable sin, you can rest assured you have not. Your concern conferms your innocence. If you had, you wouldn't have asked this question. I hope I have helped.
P.S.Read a book written by, Charles Stanley called, Eternal Security. It has a chapter that deals with this very question.

To blaspheme the Son of Man would be to speak evil of Him, to discredit Him and His message in some way. Within the context of the argument at this point, this would refer to the rejection of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus. But if someone considered it further and repented, that one could be forgiven.
But the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit would be the rejection of the same truth in the full awareness that that is what is happening--it is the thoughtful, willful rejection of the work of the Spirit of God even though there can be no other explanation of the healings of Jesus. Blasphemy against the Son and against the Spirit then means the complete and willful rejection of Jesus as the Messiah and the crediting of His works to Satan. Thus, this is not a sin that a true believer can commit, for the true believer has already accepted Jesus as the Messiah.
Read the verses from the Holy Bible
Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Col 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Believers should also guard their words, because what they say reflects who they are, and those words should reflect a heart of faith and a life of righteousness.
May God bless you and reveal his will in you. In Jesus name. Amen

We really do not know why Jesus said this sin is unforgivable.
Blasphemy against the Spirit
- Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven (Matthew 12:31)
Is the sin of attributing to Satan
- But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "This man drives out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons." (Matthew 12:24)
What is the work of the Spirit of God
- But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matthew 12:28)
With love in Christ.

Blasphemy is to ridicule or reject something. If you read the Bible, you will find that the number one work of the Holy Spirit is to bring people to faith in Christ. (See John 16:7-11) He is to "reprove" the world for sin.
If a person rejects and ridicules that work for their whole life, it means that there will never be a time when they accept the Lordship of Jesus and get saved. Becaus of that, there is no forgiveness for them in the end. It is not that the sin is unforgiveable, it is that they reject the forgivenss so it will not be forgiven.
Since you have accepted it, and become a Christian, you have not committed an "unpardonable sin". 1 John 5:16 talks about the same sin. It says that if a person commits that sin "unto death", then there is no forgiveness, but that if they turn from it before they die, there is forgiveness.

No it doesn't mean you are NEVER forgiven. Look, Paul KILLED Christians in the name of God, and that is certainly horrible yet he became one of history's most inspiring Christians. God may forgive some people because of ignorance had they never heard of Christ, for instance, but if you die saying, "Christ is evil" or calling something from the Holy Spirit evil, or some form of that then you wont be forgiven on account of ignorance. I believe right after or before that scripture the Jews were saying Jesus was possessed of an evil spirit or demon, which is why that scripture is relevant.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit has been debated by theologians for centuries. What is it? Some of the greatest minds believe that it is Despair. When a person is in Despair, this means they lack all Hope - in such a state of mind, forgiveness can not occur.
It is not that God refuses to forgive; it is the person that is incapable of receiving the forgiveness.

I thoroughly believe "unhappy Panda" and commend the clarity with which that answer replace into given. i have were given heard John MacArthur (Bible pupil and instructor got here across at GTY.ORG) make sparkling a contact more effective about it even with the reality that if, preserving that the sin of blasphemy adversarial to the Holy Spirit isn't able to be dedicated on the instantaneous. His component replace into, at the same time as Jesus replace into head to head with those who rejected Him that they'd the entire revelation of God status authentic in the front of them in truly type or maybe with the undeniable fact that they rejected Him calling Him the devil. it truly is the optimum degree of rejection and that is the unpardonable sin. We, on the instantaneous, isn't able to commit that very similar sin using very reality we are those "who have not considered". we are no longer blessed with the entire revelation of God as they have been, so in that journey we isn't able to commit the sin that they did. even with the reality that if, rejecting the gospel all a thanks to the realm of death is likewise very similar for my section. <><

Ok, to "blaspheme" or reject the Holy Spirit is to ignore the conviction that starts the salvation process. It means that you turn away from God's Holy Spirit and remain unsaved.
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
(Isaiah 55:11)
It means, God's plan of salvation, which begins with conviction by the Holy Spirit, (convicting us that we are a sinner in need of forgiveness), - the plan is either accepted or rejected.
