Why did you place this in the religion and spirituality folder?

OK Space (Can be refered to as Spacetime) is the stuff that the universe is made of. Imagine that you could travel beyond the universe and you outran the furthest spec of light, so that nothing is visible of our universe. The nothing that your space ship would be resting in would be what would be left if space did not exist.

As it is, space consists of light, gasses, dust, gravity and time. I am not a physisist buy that answer seems reasonable.

Space is just that space it is empty but does have very tiny clumps of matter in it. If the cosmos was destroyed its very unlikely that the earth and solar system would be spared unless we actually are as the medievals believed the center of the Universe. Scary thought I already feel cold and isolated with the presant situation let alone if there was nothing out there.

Space is what most of the universe is made up of. In this case, nature repeats itself. As the universe (large scale) is mostly space, so is the atom (small scale) made up of mostly empty space.
Space, is everything not containing a celestial body made of matter. If there was no space, there would be NOTHING as space is required to hold our earth.

By definition, space is defined as a place where matter does not exist.

If space did not exist, well, I don't really see how that's a possibility, as you're creating an unnecessary paradox.

Scientist are now saying Dark Matter. But they're not sure. Just like they said that the Universe is between 10 to 15 Billion years old. Yet there are stars in our own galaxy that are much older. How is that possible?

If space didn't exist, matter would not exist too. Like darkness, you wouldn't know what darkness was, it would not be a recognised concept, without light.

Once scientists said everything is most open space until they said they found something peculiar called Dark Matter. What is this?

For nothing to exist there must still be something for the nothing to exist within, therefore there is always something regardless of whether there is someone there to observe it or not.
