I love being married and have been for 15 years. It takes so much of the guess work out of life. I know I'll have someone to see that movie with. I know I'll grow old with someone. I know that if I have a bad day at work, I have someone to talk to. I know that I have someone that will help me make difficult decisions. I know that 2 of us get the tedious chores done faster than just 1. Yeah, getting married is as good as you hear.

I'm not going to shine you on. I've been married for 34 years. Marriage is a 2 way street. You both have to get along & love each other. Their is no room in a marriage for somebody that is selfish or is only worried about me. It involves cooperation & not domination or control. If one is a control freak find somebody else fast. Always support your spouse even when they are wrong. You can tell him/her later they were wrong but never tell them they are wrong around anybody else. Yes you will have arguements but finish them quickly & resolve the problem fast. Kiss & make up. When you are married it is us the 2 of you. Sometimes it is better to say nothing than to hurt your partners feelings. Many men joke about it, but i have found that over the years. The best way to get along is the woman is always right & if she is wrong? The woman is always right. It is no longer my money it's our money. If you both work it is still our money. If only one of you works it is still our money. Don't go overboard with credit cards or personal loans. These can cause problems neither of you want. Manage money well and never fight over money. If you are going to fight over money then somebody needs a better paying job. In my case if I would have know grand children were that much fun. I would have had them first.

Yes,definetly! I'll have been married 14 years next week. Sure, there are ups and downs. During the first couple years you learn how to navigate around your spouse, how to avoid fights, how to compromise. It does get better as the years go by.

Some people tend to be happy regardless of circumstances and some tend to be sad regardless of circumstances. I don't think marriage or a relationship in general changes this, and some who are unfulfilled outside marriage will be unfulfilled inside it.
I wish I had something more positive to add.

I have been married for thirty five years and I have never had a reason to regret it, but then I have a wife in a million whom any man would treasure.

I'm not married myself... but I admit I very rarely hear good reports of it.

I'm not sure if you mean the day of getting married or the experience of participating in marriage? I haven't used Yahoo for long and I'm unsure if you can clarify that question for me or not. Can someone answer that for me also? and can I write another answer to the question I needed clarifying? Thanks to all who can clarify my questions to help make my experience comfortable. That's almost to confusing for me.

It can be just have to make sure you are with the right one. Don't settle for the one you can live with, wait for the one you can't live without.
