I have installed IE7 in over a hundred computers this week alone, and the software itself is fine. I like it, it loads faster and renders pages quicker.
Another plus of IE is the fact that it is not as tightly integrated into the Windows shell as previous versions. This means more stability.
Also, how is IE trying to copy FireFox? Because of the tabbed function? Opera had it before FireFox, as well as Multibrowser, almost 8 years ago.
That's like saying the FireFox team copied IE by offering a free browser.

Yes, I like it. I think MS have worked hard to better the browser and because it's so different to IE6 in a number of ways, it will take time for all users to get used to it.
Bare in mind that IE7 is what is included in Vista, so soon the majority of people will be using it as well.

I like it. and I will tell you why,
1. For a start you have a clean, sleek, streamlined interface that shows more of each web page you visit
2, IE 7 helps keep your information safe by alerting you to potential phishing sites that look legitimate but actually are designed to capture your personal information
3. and while you browse the web IE7 automatically monitors your computer to protect you from unwanted programes that can be installed on your system as a result of surfing the web.
so as you can see there is a lot going for this new version.

Let's face it, they had to re-write IE because of the Mozilla Firefox effect.
You will get used to IE7 and start to like it, however I will be sticking with Firefox.
Microsoft admitted on their official IE7 blog that they were talking to the Firefox development team about 'standards'.

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customizable to suit your need and no problems.

It's a lot more secure than IE6 which is always a plus, but if you're choosing based on security you might as well be using firefox or opera. I think it's a lot cleaner looking than IE6, but you're right they didn't do a good job of making it easy for the average user to change the way it looks. I like it, but most people don't really. It looks amazing in Vista though. It still wasn't enough to make me switch from Firefox.

I have been using it for about 3 weeks and it takes a long time to get used to - I find that all the buttons I was used to using daily are hidden and so small and the favourites are in a strange place - but I really like the 'tab' option
I think I will keep it for another couple of weeks and see how I get on with it then

It has its pros and cons . Pros being the Tabbed display ( Microsoft has been quite late to add this feature) . But Mozilla Firefox and some other browsers had it long time back . There is a report Spam Page feature also .
Cons-
It hides many navigation buttons by default and it involves quite a bit of tweaking to get the display as per one's liking .
