Some people are just plain rude whether they have a mobile or not. It drives me mad to see to see people on their phone when they are at the counter in a shop. If I was the assistant I would ignore them and serve the next person in the queue.

I agree with you to a point. there's nothing more annoying than walking round the supermarket aisles and being rammed by a trolley as someone's too busy chatting to notice where they're going. I hate watching drivers talking on their phone when they're supposed to be watching the road, that's an accident waiting to happen. In saying that, I don't believe I could live without my mobile. People can get in touch with me anywhere at any time. I no longer have to look for a payphone that works and hasn't been vandalised. They're a blessing if used sensibly.

I agree. With the purchase of a mobile phone you should receive a book on when and how to use it and one place is not a movie theatre or in a meeting. I get so tired of people. My husband is the worst. We go to dinner and the cell phone rings and he has to talk for 10 mins. It gets on my nerves so. And not only him there are plenty of other people. I book on when and where to use a handy that would be a wonderful think. I feel your concern...........Great comment

It's depressing isn't it? I walk on the street almost every day, every morning, every evening, and can't help myself by noticing that nobody's alone by itself... always talking on their mobile even when walking in a super market. We can't be alone anymore... and it makes me sick. The worst drivers (car) are speaking on the phone and are implied in accidents...

A very good point which goes to prove that drivers of motor vehicles using mobiles - hand-free or not - should be prosecuted and banned from driving................

Not really. I don't think people really think or realize how rude they are being when they do this, that is carry on a conversation with someone when you are with them.
