A toastie and toast with topping are two different things, not to be confused.
My favourite toastie would have to be cheese, ham and onion, perhaps with some pickle on it.
On toast the best topping is Marmite.
Now you have made me have a retro moment and I want to go out and buy a toastie machine!!!

I love macoroni cheese on toast :
Macaroni 'Cheese'
Ingredients
100g macaroni
soya milk
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon vegan bouillon powder
vegetarian worcestershire sauce (optional)
knob of vegan margarine
salt
pepper
Cook the macaroni by boiling it in salted water for 15 mins (or follow guidelines on packet). Then drain and cover the bottom of the pan with soya milk. Add the other ingredients and stir well, then simmer for five minutes. The pasta should now be coated with sauce and if it isn't add more milk. Add salt and pepper to taste.

The old classic ham, cheese and onion toastie is delicious.
Also I love a fried egg sandwich with BBQ sauce!

A nutella toastie! Yummy, took quite a lot of experimenting to not put too much in though! Leakage,not good!
