Except that all the things you mention happen in "decent muslim countries" Their are murders,their are thieves, and their are rapes. Although in the case of rape in most muslim countries when it comes to punishment the victim often times has as much to worry about as the perpetrator. Especially in places like Iran. Want info how about asking amnesty international some time about the human rights records of all these fine muslim countries,about women being given 90 lashes with a whip for being raped,about women being executed for harming their male attacker during an attempted rape. These are facts,and regardless are you implying that even if some of these crimes were less prevalant is that really worth the complete loss of freedom which is the case in most muslim countries. In much of somalia right now you can be executed for worshipping by any religion but Islam,is that the beautiful world vision you are speaking of. Every Islamic country in the world is either a brutal dictatorial regime or working on it,with a few notable exceptions.

i am a practising muslim, i pray 5 times a day. I don't think hijab is necessary in this day & age.Hijab was introduced when the life of women was difficult and it was a danger for women not to wear it at that time. But now it is a danger to wear it, people who wear the hijab get all kinds of abuse and humiliation. After 9/11 wearing the hijab has increased a lot. If the war and terror in the Middle East stops maybe these women will think about integrating more.Wearing a label is not as necessary as practising. Some people still do bad things whilst wearing a label. Is it right to hide under the label of a muslim?

No. There would be civil war in every country. Body parts, blood and guts would be scattered across every city. Look what is happening in Iraq, with muslims slaughtering muslims. And for no good reason, the people of Iraq have been given their country back, and look what they have done with it.
Islam is a false religion, made up by a schizophrenic, pedophile. Jihad is an oxymoron if there ever was one. Suicide bombing is about the meanest and stupidest thing a person can do...and in the name of religion. Give me a break!

YES! Firstly, to that "wow are we stupid or what" guy, YOU need to reeducate yourself. By "decent practising muslims" she meant muslims who actually follow Islam. And that person who said we'd be blowing ourselves up, that is not funny! That is also not allowed in Islam, so learn before you talk. You can't comment on something you don't know about, that is just stupid.

Never. how it 'll happen with a religion that do not except the right of existance of other living beans. A relion that states to carry out crimes as a punishment to wrong doings., with no respect to women and their rights as humans etc..
It dosent matter what is ur religion only you have to do is abstaining from killing, stealing, sexual indulgence, uttering lies and consuming anything that causes intoxication and heedlessness (liquor/drugs etc..) to make this world clean, safe and a heaven.

True, the majority are not all like that but come on, you have to agree that "white" country's and Asia are the most civilised of people.

One of the most repressive, evil regimes that has existed in my lifetime (I am too young to have seen the nazi era) was the taliban in Afghanistan.
The taliban was as close to your ideal as we could get
Almost EVERYONE was a practising muslim - in fact if they were not, they could have been beaten and possibly killed.
so - nearly 100 % of the population was practising Islam - is this your idea of a model state?

I have lived in a Muslim Country. They have the same problems there as we do here in the West, only we have a free and open society and talk about them, they do not. Hiding the problem does not mean it is not there. Their calender is about five hundred years behind ours, their attitudes towards women and freedom reflect that.

I mean they cut off people's hands for stealing and still people do it. That is just icky and don't tell me they don't because it happened while we were in Saudi.
