When people go to questions and vote everyones answer with a thumbs down?
i want to see if my answers are helping people...i can't if silly people always vote thumbs down for the sake of it!

No certainly i do not get annoyed When people go to questions and vote everyones answer with a thumbs down. just for the reason because those who carelessly do that are so stupid that they are not aware that their Questions are also answered...
But dear Kridwen do not worry coz you have been for a long time here in this Q & A, and doing pretty well, I saw your profile and you have gained lots of points so go on with it surely some body will be benifitted with your ans. and ignore those response

Exactly. I have noticed that lately, also, but didn't want to lose 5 for asking it. Usually, people answer to the best of their ability. I can see giving thumbs down to swearing, racial remarks, and utterly stupid, irrelevant answers. If one can't honestly answer/rate a question in good faith, then don't. You will find thumbs down in the best of answers. I think that being able to rate is a privilege, not a right to give anyone a thumbs down to make their answer look better. I am sure that this is the reason it is being done. Rules should be set as to when one may give a thumbs down.

If i do not answer a question i do not vote, unless it is so stupid or condescending that a thumbs down is the only answer it deserves.

As long as asker get an nice idea from my answer, I don't care about thumbs. but I always go and check how many thums I have.

that is annoying. my worst though is when my answers get taken off and I get ten points deducted...it is always for absolutely NO good reason...once I had ten points deducted for saying I have nothing good to say about Cher (the singer) I didnt SAY anything horrible about her - just said I have nothing good to say :) lame"!!!!

You shouldn't let this discourage from helping others. Regardless of how good your intentions, there will always be people who will criticize you.
