For the past few days it has hurt to eat or drink, do I have a throat infection or something?

could be strep, or the begining of the flu.

It couls be an infection, but as a result of past experience, it mey be the beginning or end of a cold/flu. I would recommend seeing a doctor, who would probably be able to give you a definate answer, but as i said, it is probably the beginning or end of a cold/flu.

you could have an infection called tonsillitis, which if you look at the back of your throat you may be able to see white or green spots if you have tis infection.

sounds like about of toncelitus drink plenty and gargle with salt water every four hours hope this help's you

that sounds like strep throat to me.....go see the doc....its very contagious
