1st: did he have to take all the water fowl?

2nd: what about fish? Wouldn't all of the fresh rain water, enough to flood the entire world, kill all the salt water organisms.

3rd: if animals repopulated from the single couplings taken on the ark, where did all the genetic variation come from?

Good luck getting answers on these questions. Whenever I see these questions asked the answers predominately say something to the effect of "God knew what he was doing" and "Have faith" and the ever popular "Don't question anything because if you do you'll go to Hell".

Please read Genesis Chapter 7
Verse 14.....every fowl, every bird of every sort.

Verse 21-24 ...All Flesh died that moved upon the earth....all with nostrils on dry land died...every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground
Only Noah and those on the ark (& 7 of his family) and the animals

VERSES 2,3...There were 7 PAIR of the Clean Animals Male and Female. ( 7 male and 7 female)

Fowls of the air 7 pairs Male and Female ( 7 male and 7 female)

Unclean animals 1 PAIR 1 Male and 1 female

VERSE 9 There went in TWO AND TWO unto nNoah into the ark, the male and the female, as GOD had commanded Noah.

Read the entire Chapter, God will answer all your questions.

KJV Holy Bible
God's inspired word.

Hope this cleared things up for you. many people mistakenly think that only 2 of each animal was on the ark but these scriptures show exactly how many actually were on the ark.

Some people believe that "pockets" of salt water remained in the oceans that were being diluted by the fresh rain water.

As for the 1st question, it says that he only took animals that breathed the breath of life (I think).

Jeez I'm still trying to get my head around Noah travelling to the Amazon to wrestle a pair of anocondas, and then to the Namib Desert to catch the kangaroo rats, those buggers are freakishly fast!

Birds would be fine at the top of the ark.

No fish. 2 young animals of each kind of the wild. 7 each for food and reproduction after the land is dry in 375 days until it can produce food.

You answer is in looking at the human species, you can identify them the same as God can. Evolve does not sound suitable, it is like religions, such a loose fit.

The simplistic minds that made the story up did not take those points into consideration.
