A stew that my mum used to make with diced potatoes, carrot and onion. She would boil it up then add cubed corned beef to it.
Tasted foul but was our staple diet for a while. The only way I could get through was to cover the thing in daddies brown sauce!!

Of all that I've eaten, I'd have to agree with you on the liver and onions thing. I always hated it. Dry, sticks in you throat, and no amount of gravy will make any difference.
It could only have been worse if there had been sprouts served with it.

im in thailand at the mo! and tried deep fried scorpion, grub (which looks like a big maggot) and to top it off i went for the deep fried beetle (which by the way looks absolutely identicle to a cockroach) when asking my wife if it was a cockroach, whos thai and dont eat this kinda food, funny enough! she says to me "its not roach but i think its a cousin to a roach" and this was after i had swallowed it! Emmm nice!
i must add though that thai food has to be the most tastiest food in the world, ive put on a few stone since moving here, and only a very small proportion of thai people actually eat insect (full of protien and apparently good for you)

Don't know why people are wingeing about gross, disgusting forms of perfectly edible food. Just remember you have a choice of food and a full belly if you so desire. There's plenty of unfortunates in this world who would be thankful for anything.
BTW casting my eyes down the list of the things that people hate, I find that the majority of it is absolutely delicious. There's no such thing as bad food, only badly cooked food.

That's a hard question, but I suppose it would have to be donner meat, black pudding, liver, veal, and sprouts! and haggis and fish head stew...anything off im a celebrity, but I'm grateful to be able to have a meal in front of me and know where my next one is coming from, because as you know some people aren't that lucky!

em, is it just me or are most of the above foods actually ok?? salmon, curry, bananas, onions, potatoes, liver...
what about pigs tails and feet?, still eaten by the hardcore in ireland (my mum), black pudding which is mostly blood by-products, bulls testicles? monkey brains? some consider those a delicacy in far away places. insects? also a delicacy.

Mine is definately a Macdonalds double bacon macmuffin. The picture looks great but the reality is a rubbery, stretchy, bacon roll. And to add to insult to injury, the other day mine came complete with a hair in it.

When I lived in Japan, I was given a meal of grated raw cabbage topped with three raw squid. Wow. That was vile! You had to eat the tentacles, then suck out the bone before eating the body..... URRRGH!
