Yes! Do you know why? because nobody likes to be around someone who complains all the time. So since you don't like stuff about them, why should they want you around anyway?
If you can really communicate with your loved ones, first of all, you should take them for what they are and, second of all, these things can be told in the rest of the year, in a casual occasion and in a polite manner, without offending people.
Besides, do you think you're perfect? Suppose someone were to dig up all your faults and write them all down for you at a time when you want to relax and be happy with your family! They would probably say that you b!tch about everything!
Now, most importantly, have fun shopping for presents and a wonderful Christmas!!!

Yes that is wrong. You may not like them. You find them boring and tired, but they are your family. Without them you are alone. don't buy them a gift. Make one. Your aunt likes her car. So. Christmas is about family coming together and remembering why you love them. Family reunions are for grievances.
If you have a problem with family members call them on it right then, don't wait. If you think your aunt is being insufferable tell her about it. Then use christmas and the other holidays to remind them you still love them.

In my family you would be told by one and all just where to put those gievance notes and where to find petrol just before setting a match to it.
I might add, we an entire family of tossers at times. It is called being human.
After having bondfire night with yourself. I doubt if anyone would offer to drive your roasted bum to hospital.
LOL.
Well, there's the honest perspective from my end of the bog.

Chillax a little... everyone's got pet peeves about family and stuff. Like you love 'em, but there are times when you just wanna... strangle them, you know?
Maybe replacing their gifts with those notes isn't such a hot plan but if you really want to get those messages across and not take a chance of screwing yourself over, just include the note with a small actual gift instead or something.

I don't know if airing grievances is the way to go. I personally do not celebrate Christmas, but I do however think that since it is supposed to be a joyous time of year for your relatives, that even if you have decided not to give gifts you should wait to air grievances at another time.

I think it's mean. If you really are this unhappy with your family, you need to talk to each one of them. To do it at Christmas is malicious.
Think about the consequences here: they will each open their little note from you and immediately, they will be upset and it will spoil their day.
Your aunt, for example, may be lonely, and her new car may be the only thing that keeps her relatively happy. Criticising her for this says a lot more about you than it does about her.

If you have issues with your family, you should discuss them; however, Christmas time is not the best time of the year to do this. People are under a lot more stress during Christmas. At the very least, buy them a card.

Only do this if you are prepared for the answers you receive. Do you really want to start 2007 with your whole family thinking you are a mean and condescending person?
