Is it photophobia and what diseases cause this? I have got it in my left eye after an infection (photophobia). Does it go away?

I can't remember what is he suffering from. But he can't let air & sunlight get directly in touch with his eyes. That's why he's wearing sunglasses for protection. If not, he'll have eye irritations.

Patients may develop photophobia as a result of several different medical conditions, related to the eye or the nervous system.

Meningitis
Eye disease, injury, or infection such as chalazion, episcleritis, glaucoma, keratoconus
Burns to the eye
Migraines
Encephalitis
Conjunctivitis
Aphakia
Iritis
Corneal abrasion
Corneal ulcer
Cataracts
Retinal detachment
Anticholinergic drugs may cause photophobia by paralyzing the iris sphincter muscle.
