I would think about 7 mins, the carrots might take a bit longer, so make sure the pieces are little! xxx

This would depend om the size you cut the veg into. I always steam my veg which is the best way to eat them. Broccoli cut into florets and carrots into batons ( 1/4" sticks) will take approx 7-10 mins from water boiling. Test after 7 mins because one minute they are hard, and the next overdone. Another good thing about steamers, is that you can stack one on top of the other, steaming all your veg and using only one ring. Saves fuel.

about 5 Min's longer than in saucepan, but depends if you like them northern style or a bit crunchier.
you have to allow time for water to boil.
normal tip is if grew above ground (broccoli and the like ) into boiling water, but underground (spuds carrots ect) into cold water and bring to the boil.
same as steam, just slightly more flavourful veg.

20 minutes. it'll taste so much better than boiling.

We seem to cook all are veggies for 20 mins in the steamer, they all come out just fine.

may God bless you and Merry Christmas
