Purely out of interest and to see what people know.... tell me how you might set up a booby trap - victim operated divice (method of initiation... NOT how to make the explosive)
tell me what equipment you'd use and how it would work
the best, most realistic, feazable, simple will get the points

im looking for METHOD of operation for a victim operated divice.... not nessersarily anything dangerous.... just a method of operation....

By far the easiest way to trap, your target is to use a wspring snare trap. They can be knopcked up in about ten minutes with the right equipment. And can even be made if all you have is your bear hands. I will try to describe but i will try to find a link too.
1. find a nutural gully with trees on either side, or build a run out of brushwood etc. The run should be funnelled in the middle so the prey head for the snare.
2. Find a nice springy tree that you can bend down to about 3 foot of the ground. Any lower and the prey will be cautious about going in, as it looks enclosed.
3. Cut two thick sticks about 6" long with grooves in one end. A knife helps here, but sharp rock etc can be used. Tie the snare to one end of one of the sticks. Tie these tight as they need to be able to take the "flick" of the tree. The other one should tied to the top end of the tree.
4. Now bend down the tree and interlock the two 6" sticks and let the tree take the strain. Place your snare in the now narrow funnelled run. It is also handy to disguise the snare wire and the aparatus with Moss, Leaves etc. The good part of the run is that if you get the chance you can "herd" the prey towards the snare. It is really only used for smaller prey, as trees are not springy up to a certain age. You would not be able to get deer with this, but you can get Muntjac, Rabbits, Hare even some gamebird. Remeber to mark your tree as once this thing fires your catch will be ten foot up a sapling.
If you wanna stop humans then go to Moscow, get in contact with the Black Market and get some toys (landmines, etc etc)
Thes are humane ans effective and at the end of the day if my survival copunted on it then it would be used.
