You already understand it's wrong that's better than a lot of other people.
The illegal immigration issue has become so obscured with other issues many people lose sign of reality. The media really tries to change the focus away from the fact they're illegal. They say the problem is a racial issue, a poverty issue, some kind of humanitarian issue, or anything else except the true.
I read an article from the New York Times about how illegal immigrants didn't have access to health care. The reason is that if the went to the hospital they would be deported. However, the article tried to make it sound like they had no recourse.

Legality is a legislated mandate, set down by a duly elected or appointed group. It has absolutely nothing to do with character. Character is a matter of ethical viewpoints and acting upon those viewpoints. One of the hardest things to comprehend as a person begins to grow up and get out on their own is that what is legal is not always “right” and what is illegal is not always “wrong.”
It is the same way with people coming across our boarders without permission from our government. Many countries will imprison the perpetrators or even, in some cases, execute them. They are legally allowed to do so, but is it right to do so? This is two completely different issues, the difference between laws and beliefs.
This is one of the reasons that the mass migration of illegal aliens is such a hot topic for debate. The people that are supporting these criminals, criminals by definition are trying to cloud the issue with right and wrong and avoid the issue of legal and illegal. They support illegal aliens because, for what ever reason, it is in their interest to do so.
These are two different arguments. Is it right to punish somebody for trying to make a better life? Is it wrong to lock up a woman because she illegally enters our country to have her child? These are questions of ethics and very gray. The United States has a legal right and duty to punish a person for entering our country in an illegal manner no matter what their reason. That is very black and white. If people don’t like the law they need to vote on changing it, not just break it and say that they’re “right.”

Illegal immigration is a Made in USA problem. They would not be here if US employers did not flaunt the laws regarding hiring illegal immigrants. You cannot blame poor people coming to fill jobs if there are employers that are willing to ignore the law. It is the fault of the people who are supposed to command the departments that enforce the laws against hiring these people. And it seems the level of workplace enforcement dropped big time in 2001. As well, people like the US Chamber of Commerce are using every legal trick they can find to stop enforcement from occurring. They filed suit yet again last week delaying the implementation of the eE-Verify system yet again. This is a problem that was made at the highest levels of the US business and political communities around 2001 and we have this huge mess today.

No, illegal aliens are a huge drain on the economy. They don't pay taxes!! Simple enough. I do not support or condone illegal immigration, but the best solution to the problem would be to legalize those currently in the US with a strict registration system and US gov't ID (all citizens should have a national ID) and require them to abide by American law regarding traveling internationally (Passports) and working in the US while also residing in a foreign country (Mexico) as far as taxes and eligibility for gov't programs is concerned. At the same time, we should completely close off and guard the US-Mexico border. It is scary how porous our borders are and how easy it is to come across the border undetected. Literally millions do it every year. The US must take control of the border.

You are right about illegal supporters having character issues. When they think it is OK to steal Social Security numbers and have no care for the one they are harming...you have a clue to the "me me me" attitude. The illegals coming here commit crimes against Americans daily without conscience.
As for liberals...they want to do what makes THEM feel good and let the rest of us pick up the tab....then they walk away congratulating themselves on what THEY have done.... A rather narcissistic characteristic which can be attributed to liberals....the concept their own greatness. Kinda like someone praying really loud so everyone can hear them when they never really meant it...they always need an audience.

Because those who support ILLEGAL immigrants tend to hate America and are pro-plague and ecological destruction.
I don't think they think that of themselves but as they support and want a system where wanting a better life is a good enough reason to bring a plague into another country and kill everyone I have no choice but to think that of them.
Lissa: I empathize and understand and I would do the exact same thing in their shoes...it would not make it RIGHT but I would do it. Until recently, relatively, people had to endure and either go fix their own countries or enter legally as my family did long ago. It ripped our family apart and they had to endure until everyone could be here together..that's life..life is hard, get a helmet! Also these LAWS are in place for a very good reason such as not allowing people with the Black Plague or Avian Flu to come and spread it all over the country which would cause mass death...not bringing animals or plants that would rip our ecology apart, security reasons such as not allowing people to sneak in drugs and weapons.
What i find 100% hysterical is that if China, Germany, Russia, Chile, Japan, or Jamaica was going to step up protecting it's borders no one would say a word. For some reason it is only America that should have no right to control its borders, that is a double standerd and a travesty of justice.
PS just for record I think immigrant and citizen processes should be fixed to allow easier movement but still doesn't excuse entering illegally

Voz de Aztlan is the website of a Hispanofacist groups MEChA and La Raza, who openly proclaim their goal is to 'Hispanicise' the United States and create a Nation of Aztlan in it's place. These Hispano facists are using the current immigration protests as the vanguard of a Hispanic takeover of the United States (by the 'brown and bronze races'), starting with California and the Southwest, which they intend to 'reclaim' as their falsified 'spiritual and territorial legacy,in the same way Nazi Germany intended to forge the 'Third Reich' by conquering all of Europe as a prelude to world domination. The slogan of the movement epitomises their Hispano supremacist agenda;
"For the race everything. For those outside the race, nothing".
Writer William Hawkins characterised the illegal alien campaign as an "Immigration War" ;
"...Some demonstrators have raised the issue of "La Reconquista" of the American Southwest by Mexican immigrants. This is most often expressed in signs that read "we didn't cross the border, the border crossed us." It is taught in Mexican schools that what are now the states of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California , and Utah, along with parts of Colorado and Wyoming, were "stolen" from Mexico between 1836 and 1848 by American imperialists and will one day be regained. Ironically, the revolt that won Texas independence was staged by colonists and "guest workers" originally invited into the territory by the Mexican government. But the threat to American independence is not limited to the Southwest, as illegals do not all stay in the border areas. They spread out across the United States. Thus, the political aim of those mobilizing the immigrants is to take national power in Washington and change the course of American destiny..."

Because they're either Hispanic, perhaps having family in Mexico, (and other countries ,too) or just plain stupid. There are no legal terms about their thinking. Just idioism, and lack of care and understanding for their country. They are uneducated about the problems America is facing dealing with illegal's, and it is not in their backyard.
An UNeducated person gets used, and deceived, but an EDUCATED person, knows what the heck is going on, and tries to change the wrong.
The American people are finally waking up! Life as illegal's know it will soon be at an end. Bless America and her right to to make laws to defend herself!

Consider the criminal culpability of the migrant who wants to rise out of poverty vs. that of the US employer who wants cheap labor to line his pocket and who bypasses qualified Americans who need jobs. Where is character more an issue?
Consider the responsibility and character of our government which does not enforce the laws against employers. If illegal immigration is a supply and demand issue, they have it in their power to cut the demand immediately. Fine the employers heavily, put repeat violators on probation at least! This would work far better than a wall.
Examining the character and motivations of the policy makers in our government who care so much more for the employer's profits than the life style and well being of American workers will give you the far sighted, view, the bigger picture.

This issue is one that really bothers me. I am not a racist and have nothing against any race of people. What I do have a problem with is someone with Illegal anywhere in the discripter of their present situation demanding rights that they well. Have no right to. I know that when I lived in L.A. things got completely out of hand. You cannot get a job in L.A. if you don't speak spanish, my neice went to a public school but was not learning anything because the class was being taught in spanish. I know of many instances where business's with hispanic managers will not hire anyone but other hispanics. same thing with housing managers, they will not rent to anyone who is not hispanic. I know that it does not apply to all hispanics but in my mind many Mexicans come here only to exploit us for the dollar and send most of their money back to Mexico to their families. They love Mexico first and this country second. I just don't think it is right. I don't think it is right that you cannot pick up a product in the store anymore that isnt written in spanish and in english. I respect all americans and think that everyone who is american deserves the rights and treatment due to them as americans. But I doubt if Mexico would be as understanding if we suddenly started breaking into their country to take their resources and send them back up north. Look how they deal with Panamanian border jumpers. I just think the whole thing has gotten out of hand. Maybe to late to change anything, seems like the wheels are in motion now. I have been to little bitty towns way up in the mountains where you barely see black people but there are a bunch of Mexicans there. I think that If Mexicans want to come to our country. Fine, but do it the right way. the legal way. Just my opinion
