Yeah, I think Chatuchak weekend market will be open on 23rd and (Xmas eve) 24th Dec.
Don't you ever forget? Almost the whole nation people are buddhists, so they don't really celebrate Xmas. And it is not considered as a big festive celebration in Thailand. So I believe Chatuchak will be open throughout the weekends. But I'm unsure if the store owners will close for their business earlier or not on the Xmas eve.

Very few occasions/events stand in the way of commerce in Thailand. JJ Market will certainly be open as usual throughout the Xmas weekend. Some shops open as early as 7 a.m. while most are open for business by about 9 a.m. The market tends to wind down around sundown.
