If you mean it literally and you have no desired destination then it doesn't matter, if you do have a desired destination the consult a map! However life is short so always take the scenic route!
If you mean it metaphorically then flip a coin when the coin lands see how you feel about the result, happy or sad, then you'll know where your heart truly lies. If you feel indifferent follow the coin and let fate take it's course.
